  • Broadband for Thornborough.

After searching the market, Simon Midcalf has found a dish based broadband provider (Claanet)
who are prepared to provide a 20Mbps system to Thornborough. At this stage
there is no commitment, but we need to show a level of interest in the village
for Claanet to spend money on infrastructure. If we have enough interest, then
you can apply to Claanet directly for broadband service to your household. The
cost is £15-£35 per month + an installation charge (grants available). If you
would be interested in joining; in the first instance please contact  SimonMidcalf@Gmail.com

  • Adoption of Telephone Boxes

Adoption of Telephone Boxes - the three boxes in the Parish have all been earmarked for the removal of the telephones.
There is a possibility to adopt the telephone boxes by the Parish Council. Tanfield Parish Council has adoped the phone boxes in Nosterfield and Thornborough.  The Parish Council would eventually hope that the telephone boxes could host a defibrillator, however if you have any thoughts on their uses. Please let us know your views by emailing the Parish Clerk.   Let us have you thoughts by 25 July, 2017.

  • Minerals & Waste Local Plan

North Yorkshire County Council, City of York Council and the North York Moors National Park Authority are producing a minerals and waste joint plan which will cover the period up to 2030.
Further details can be found on North Yorkshire County Councils website.
